Be Kind to You
A tale of doctors, epiphanies and building the most important friendship anyone can ever have.
When I first met Dr. Andy Cope, he was still working on his PhD in Flourishing so was just plain old Andy. It was 2013 in a training room at the Office for National Statistics in Newport, South Wales and Andy was delivering an all day workshop to a newly formed leadership team of which I was part.
I was 10+ years into my wellbeing journey and thought I knew it all, so I'd written the day off as a break from work with a free lunch. I sat at the back, had my phone to hand and had committed to being a good boy and not heckling the presenter.
I'm glad to say that my expectation of the day was totally and utterly wrong. It was the best training day ever and Andy did for me what all of us at Art of Brilliance are passionate about doing - he inspired me to start making the changes necessary to move my life from ok to brilliant.
